Uche Sparks Comfortable Palace Victory at Irish Side Shelbourne.

Even though entering their maiden European campaign, Crystal Palace are learning very quickly. Missing star players like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles left Dublin with a comfortable win that all but guarantees them a spot in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.

Another victory in their next match against Finland's KuPS should be enough to seal direct passage to the knockout stages, particularly following a previous stumble against Strasbourg.

Squad Members Grasp the Opportunity

This occasion provided a platform for some of Palace's fringe talent to shine. Christantus Uche, making only his second start after arriving on loan from Getafe, notched the scoring with a well-taken finish. Forward Eddie Nketiah added a another, scoring for the second consecutive match.

Following the break, coach Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to withdraw key individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse almost scoring with his first touch, but saw his effort blocked.

Esse was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one shot strike off both posts before being gathered on the line. Uche also missed a sitter of a chance, indicating there is still room for development in his game.

A solitary worry for Palace was a second-half knock to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This allowed 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to make his senior debut, capping an otherwise positive night for the traveling side.
